Understanding Proof of Financial Ability |
| The following information is for international students only.
|
The key document needed to establish your proof of financial ability is a Certified Letter from your bank establishing that you have the money needed to accomplish your training program in your account. The letter should state the amount of funds available in U.S. dollars for both tuition and living expenses. In order to be accepted the letter should:
- Confirm that the person is a customer of the financial institution.
- State that the full amount required for tuition and living expenses at Florida Flight Training Center (a.k.a., FFTC) (in U.S. dollars) is available for use for flight training. The amount must be greater than or equal to the total listed on a pro forma FFTC provides for your chosen training course(s).
- It must be signed by a bank officer from the financial institution at which the funds are deposited
Please note that a bank statement is not acceptable for FFTC or for immigration officials. Your proof must be in the form described above.

Paying for Training |
| Payment for a training course is due upon the start of the course. Payments are accepted in cash, traveler's checks, major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express), or bank check made payable to Florida Flight Training Center, Inc. Personal checks must clear the bank prior to being accepted as payment. After deposit, a personal check will normally take up to 10 working days to clear. To avoid delays in your training, payments should be made with either certified, cashier, or an official bank check. If paying by credit card, a legible copy of the card must be with the request. |
| FFTC will also accept a wire transfer to (our bank). The wire transfer should identify the student by name and include a note for the bank to notify FFTC upon receipt of the funds. |
